Brain games for a coffee break: words, numbers and memory
Not every break needs fast thumbs. Here are games that ask you to think a bit, sorted by what they exercise. They are games, not treatments, but they are a pleasant way to switch your attention for a few minutes.
Words
- Anagram Sprint: turn a jumble of letters into a word. Longer words appear as you go.
- Word Chain: each word starts with the last letter of the previous one.
Numbers
- Math Rush: choose the card that matches the target, or find the signs that make the equation true.
Memory and focus
- Pattern Pulse: repeat a growing sequence of glowing pads, but ignore the ghost.
- Blink Match: find the pairs before they flip back.
- Odd Emoji Hunt: spot the face that is different.
Geography
- Flag Quiz Dash: name the country from its flag.
- Capital Cities Flight: fuel a plane with right answers about capitals.
A tip
Play the same game two days in a row and watch your score. Many of them have a Daily mode where everyone gets the same puzzle, so it is easy to compare with friends.
