Spades
Spades is the classic partnership trick-taking card game, and this free version lets you play Spades online against the computer. Bid how many tricks your team will take, use spades as trump, and try for a Nil. It has Easy, Medium and Hard players, hints and a daily game.
How to play
- Bid how many tricks your hand can win; your team's bid is yours plus your partner's.
- Tap a card to lift it and tap again to play. Follow suit; spades beat other suits but cannot lead until broken.
- Make your bid for 10 points per trick, avoid bags, and the first team to 250 wins.
Tips
- Count aces, kings and long spades before you bid.
- Bid Nil only with low cards and no high spades.
- Once your team has its bid, duck tricks to avoid bags.

What are bags?
Extra tricks over your bid; each is 1 point, and 10 of them cost 100.
Can I lead spades any time?
No, not until a spade has been played, unless you hold only spades.
What is Nil?
A bid to take no tricks: +100 if you manage it, -100 if you take one.
