How to play · assisted flight

Acceleration and steering follow the gravity rails. Tap either rail button to switch. Chevron rails are fast but build heat; snowflake rails cool. Hold VENT or Space to cool on either rail. At 100 heat, a recoverable limiter slows the craft until 42 heat.

Top two unlock the next of 48 courses. Cooling coils arrive in course 9; alternating rail polarity in course 25. Daily uses today's UTC seed. Friend rooms compare independent seeded solo races, not shared-track human racing.

Hoverlane Prix

An original 3D anti-gravity racer with 48 generated two-lap circuits. Acceleration and rail-following are assisted: the player chooses a gravity rail and when to vent heat, rather than freely steering a vehicle. Hot chevron rails trade engine heat for speed, while snowflake rails cool the engine. At 100 heat an automatic, recoverable limiter slows the craft until it cools to 42. Cooling coils begin in circuit 9; alternating track polarity swaps hot and cool rail roles from circuit 25. Three deterministic computer craft follow the same lane-transition, heat, venting and finish rules, with increasing engine specifications. Rivals are non-contact and fade beside or behind the chase camera for visibility. Finish in the top two to unlock the next circuit; earn three stars for first place without a limiter event. Best score, stars and unlocks save locally. The UTC Daily uses an identical date seed and only a winning completion earns a once-per-day streak. Friends rooms compare independent seeded solo races, not synchronous human craft on one track.

How to play

  1. Tap a rail button to switch gravity rails. Acceleration and handling are automatic; Left/Right or A/D also select rails.
  2. Ride the chevron HOT rail for speed, switch to the snowflake COOL rail before 100 heat, or hold VENT, Space or V to shed heat at reduced speed.
  3. Finish two laps in the top two to unlock another circuit. Escape pauses; the pause screen offers deliberate resume, retry and menu recovery.

Questions

Are these freely steered hovercraft physics?

No. This is deterministic assisted rail racing: craft smoothly transition between modeled gravity rails, and progress depends on engine speed, the actual rail metric, heat, venting and cooling zones. Banking, stabilizers and thruster animation are presentation. There are no collision penalties.

Are my friends racing visibly on my track?

No. Each human receives the same seeded solo race with three simulated computer craft. The shared Kit room compares whole-number scores, supports its own optional computer scoreboard characters and presents one final podium.

What saves, and what happens when I change tabs?

Unlocked circuits, stars, best score and the UTC Daily streak save on this device. Animation frames do not save. Hidden tabs pause and require an explicit Resume. Retry restarts a fresh seeded race.

What if the 3D view cannot start?

A visible WebGL error panel offers a reload action. Try enabling browser hardware acceleration or another WebGL-capable browser. A lost graphics context does not erase saved progression.
