Rally Stages
Rally Stages is a free top-down rally game with a co-driver who calls the road ahead as pace notes along the top of the screen. Plan each corner, slide hairpins with the brake pad and chase a seeded rival's time over three short stages on tarmac, gravel and snow.
How to play
- Hold LEFT or RIGHT to steer; the throttle is automatic.
- Read the pace notes and hold BRAKE before tight corners.
- Finish each stage faster than the rival and keep clear of the walls.
Tips
- Brake early for HAIRPIN calls, especially on snow.
- Water slows you and a jump locks steering in the air.
- Staying on the road gives the clean-stage bonus.
Questions
What do the pace notes mean?
The number is corner tightness (2 is tightest, 5 is gentle), HAIRPIN is the tightest, and JUMP and CAUTION WATER warn of hazards.
How does grip change?
Tarmac grips best, gravel slides more and snow slides most.
How is the score worked out?
Stage time against the rival, a medal bonus and a clean-driving bonus for each stage.
