Go
Go is the ancient board game, also called baduk or weiqi, played here on a 9x9 wooden goban against the computer. Place stones, surround territory and capture; choose Beginner, Club or Strong. New to Go? Learn with six short lessons and 20 puzzles, or try the daily game.
How to play
- Tap an intersection to preview a stone, then release to place it.
- Surround empty points and capture stones with no liberties.
- Pass when nothing useful is left. Two passes end the game and area scoring decides.
Tips
- Play the corners first, then the sides.
- Two eyes make a group live.
- Hold a stone to see its liberties, and switch on Territory to see who owns what.
