Leather Stitch Bench

Leather Stitch Bench is a free 3D leatherwork puzzle. A wallet panel with a curved seam lies on a cutting mat. Set the awl's angle and depth to pierce each hole through two or three layers, then pass the front and rear needles in the right order. Hold both thread pulls until the slack is gone and release inside the green tension band. Pierce too shallow and the hole is blind, too deep and it blows through. Nothing moves on its own, so you can take your time within the 120 second bell. There are 24 orders with curved seams, three-layer corners, stretchy lining and snagged thread that must be backed out. Finish with a closing backstitch and seal the seam.

How to play

  1. Place the awl dot in the green box and pierce a hole.
  2. Pass the front and rear needles in turn, then hold both pulls and release in the tension band.
  3. Finish with the closing backstitch and press Seal.

Questions

Is this a reaction game?

No. Nothing moves on its own. You are reading depth, angle and order.

Why will it not pass a needle?

The hole must be clean and pierced, in order, with the other needle for the second layer.

What happens at the bell?

An unsealed seam is a failed round, but locked stitches give a partial score.
