Inline Arena
An original articulated inline-skating drill game, not a downhill board runner. Alternate crossed-foot weight transfers to build momentum around a bounded indoor training rink. Steer your radius through apparatus that slides, opens and rotates. Wide crossover stances need more clearance than compact coasting; centering your feet on a good step beat earns precision bonuses. Later drills require braking, holding an inward weight transfer and reversing direction before pushing into the return arc. There are 48 deterministic drills, saved unlocks and up to three stars per drill, plus a UTC-seeded Daily. Typical legal runs last about 20–53 seconds. This is stylized curvilinear skating physics with projected formation-clearance checks, not a realistic skating or rigid-body simulator.
How to play
- Hold and drag the CROSSOVER pad left or right to shift your weight and perform alternating inline steps. Release to coast. Keyboard: Left/Right steer and step; Space steps in a neutral stance.
- Read the next formation's symbol and motion. Hold COMPACT and drag to keep steering through a tight opening; Down compacts on keyboard. On a reversal cue, brake and hold left until the turn completes, then resume crossovers.
- Clear the stated number of gates before your flow timer ends. Centered, well-timed feet earn precision points. Pause, restart or replay unlocked drills; Escape pauses and R retries. Rooms compare one identical seeded solo drill per player.
Tips
- The first three drills have wide gaps and a forgiving clearance target. Drill 4 tightens your line; shifting formations begin at 9, opening gates at 17, rotating gates at 25 and direction reversals at 33.
- A moving gold dot wraps between beat diamonds. Release and re-tap a crossover near a diamond to refresh your timing. Holding the pad is a safe way to learn alternating weight transfers.
- Do not stay compact forever: braking spends momentum and the timer keeps running. Watch the actual opening and your feet, not only the phase label. At reversals, use the LEFT side of the compact pad.
Questions
Do friends skate together in the same arena?
No. Everyone receives the same seeded solo formation drill and competes through the shared score strip and final podium. The shared computer characters, including Pip, are scoreboard bots, not physical skaters in your rink. Each room run terminates without automatic restarts.
What saves, and how does the Daily streak work?
Your highest score, unlocked drills and best star ratings save on your device through the shared Kit. Progress resumes between drills, not midway through an animation. Daily formations use the UTC challenge date; only a successful Daily earns a streak, once per date, with consecutive and broken-day behavior.
