Ice Ribbon is an original guidance-assisted figure-skating game, not a lane racer or a free-physics sports simulator. Drag a two-axis edge pad to keep your pearl on the moving diamond: horizontal movement controls blade lean and vertical movement controls speed. Lean error moves the articulated skater away from the curved ribbon; speed changes actual travel and flow quality. Slow and center before each golden spin window, then hold POSE long enough to earn a spin. There are 48 seeded, individually achievable routines lasting 32–44 seconds. The first three have forgiving flow requirements; reverse-edge figures arrive in routine 9 and sustained spiral poses in routine 17. Earn saved stars, unlock routines and improve your best score. A snow-ringed pond has procedural benches, railings, lanterns and trees, bounded blade trails and ice scratches. UTC Daily gives everyone the same routine and advances a streak only for a win, once per date. Friends rooms compare separate identical seeded solo routines; human skaters do not share the pond.
No. Each human plays one identical seeded 36-second solo routine and compares whole-number scores through the shared room scoreboard. The optional Pip character is the shared platform score-following computer, not a physically simulated skater.
Best score, unlocked routines, per-routine stars and Daily streak are stored on this device. The UTC date determines the Daily seed. A winning Daily advances the streak at most once that UTC date; losses do not count and a skipped date resets the next earned streak to one.
Hiding the tab pauses the routine and requires deliberate resume. Back/forward cache restoration also pauses. Animation frames are not saved across a fresh reload. Missing WebGL or context loss displays an actionable reload message; earned progress remains saved.
