Gantry Rigging
Gantry Rigging is a free 3D crane game set in an industrial yard. A gantry trolley carries a hook on a rope, and your job is to install a pump in 120 seconds. Pick which of four lugs to sling and set each sling's length so the load hangs level. A sling pulled past its rating gains stress and snaps, and a slack sling carries nothing. The hook swings like a pendulum when the trolley speeds up, so push gently and counter-push or brake to calm it. Line the pump's feet over the green bolts, seat it and unhook. Two safe installs finish a job, and later jobs add an off-centre load, a spreader bar, a low beam and a soft mount.
How to play
- Move the trolley over the pump, lower the hook and tap lugs to attach slings.
- Drag the length slider until the load hangs level, then hoist and move gently.
- Press SEAT over the green bolts when the swing is small, lower, and unhook.
Tips
- Watch each lug's load bar. A sling over its rating snaps.
- If the pump tilts, shorten the sling on the low side.
- Push the trolley gently and brake to stop the swing.
Questions
Is the swing real?
It is a simulated pendulum. Trolley speed drives the hook and the load, and braking damps it.
Why can I not seat the load?
The feet must be over the green bolts, the swing small and the load near level.
Is there a daily job?
Yes, one shared job a day, and friends in a room play the same job.
